Q. I was taking a prescription with Anthem but when I tried to get it refilled at the pharmacy I was told I needed to go through step therapy and take an alternate drug, why?
A. Most non-Formulary drugs that have generics and/or lower cost equivalent Formulary drugs require the patient to go through step therapy which are a series of pre-requisite drugs. This is to determine if lower cost medications are a workable option.Q. What is the advantage to using Mail Order?
