Montgomery County’s prescription program is administered by Aetna Pharmacy (Three Tier Open Formulary). You do not have to file a claim because participating Aetna pharmacies file the claim with Aetna directly. Simply present your Aetna ID card to the pharmacist and you will be responsible for the appropriate copay (Enhanced Plan), or coinsurance (Value Plan).
When filling a prescription, employees who have an available balance in their Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) will have payments deducted from their FSA account “real time” with automatic filing.
