If you elect either of the County’s medical plans, an annual vision exam is covered at 100% as part of the wellness benefit. In order to receive the exam under the wellness benefit, your vision exam must be conducted by an Aetna in-network optometrist or ophthalmologist.
Aetna, the County’s medical plan administrator, offers a vision discount via the Eye Med Discount Program that you or any of your covered dependents can utilize. The discount program provides discounts on frames, lenses, contacts and laser vision treatment. There is no cost to you for the vision discount program. Just simply show your Aetna ID card at participating vision centers.
Discount Program Centers may not be in-network vision exam providers under the wellness plan.
